PhD Economics Position at MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology

The PhD Economics aim of this project is to investigate the role of Cryptochrome proteins in mammalian circadian time machine. Special emphasis will be placed on their role as putative magnetoreceptors. Techniques for application include real-time glow and fluorescent imaging of cells circadian gene expression, and organotypic brain slice culture, recombinant protein biochemistry, mutagenesis target, virally mediated, optogenetic control cellular activity, and proteomic analysis of circadian transcription complex. How to behave Cryptochrome proteins in the cell during 24-hour circadian cycle, what their role in the regulation of transcription and how they function is influenced by magnetic fields?

Postgraduate Research Scholarships Phd Economics

The successful candidate must conduct a research project approved under the leadership of a supervisor who is recognized at the university concerned. This project can be used toward fulfillment of requirements for a postgraduate qualification. A formal contract should be signed by both parties.Candidates FRP must apply for a scholarship to the university administration, and the names of those who have applied for the first time must be listed in order of priority by the University. Applications from candidates selected by the university was then submitted to the FRP. Selected candidates may be asked to attend a personal interview, the costs carried by FRP.

PhD Economics Studentship in Enhanced Performance of Sandwich Structures

The PhD Economics project includes an internship of 4-6 months, a doctoral student at the University of Southampton, School of Engineering Sciences, the United Kingdom. The project also involves a close cooperation with industrial partners Siemens Wind Power, Denmark and LM Blades Wind, Denmark.

PhD Economics Sandwich structures are seen as important tools for the future of lightweight structural applications because of their superior stiffness / weight and strength to weight ratios and disadvantages of the traditional metallic monolithic structures made of composite materials. A major limiting factor for wider application of the sandwich structures is that defects are introduced into the manufacturing process. It is inevitable that areas of the face sheets does not fully comply with the basis for deficiencies as "off" known. As the funds are lost to the charge transfer between the faces and the base layer, come from than the initiators of the primary damage.
